Sony
recently launched the Sony XPERIA XZ3, the brand's flagship smartphone with
world-class features such as full-glass design, 18: 9 format displays,
Snapdragon 845 SoC and more. Now the company is preparing for the launch of a
new mid-range smartphone, aka Sony XPERIA L3. The Sony XPERIA L3 is probably
the brand's first mid-tier smartphone with two cameras. Just like the XPERIA
XZ3, the XPERIA L3 has a higher 18: 9 aspect ratio display with a sleek design.

unlike the XPERIA XZ3, the XPERIA L3 has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The volume and
power switch are located on the right front panel and the fingerprint sensor is
located between the volume controls and the power switches. Overall, the Sony
XPERIA L3 looks like a well-built mid-tier smartphone.

carries the FCC ID PY7-50241M. The smartphone's FCC label location has revealed
some design details. The sketch shows a device with a higher display, possibly
with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The top cover of the phone houses the handset,
the selfie camera, a notification light, and other sensors. It looks like the
XPERIA L3 has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor between the power button and
the volume rocker. The design of the alleged Sony XPERIA L3 on FCC is similar
to the recently leaked CAD-based rendering and the 360-degree video of the
handset. The earlier leak also revealed some features of the device. According
to the report, the phone was equipped with a 5.7-inch HD + display. The unit has
a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port and a dual primary camera setup on
the back. With respect to the building, the handset is expected to provide a
plastic / polycarbonate body with a glossy finish. The Sony XPERIA L3 will be
the successor of the XPERIA L2 introduced at the CES 2018. It is quite possible
that the company will publish the successor at the upcoming CES.
