When it comes to console games, it's close to a turnaround between Sony's PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360. For most players, however, the Wii hardware is not a serious piece of hardware. The Wii U can change that, but it remains to ask if the Wii U will be left in the dust by its next-generation rivals and what that means for the Wii U game suite. If you just look at the hardware of this generation and assume that you are still in the market for a new console, should you buy a PS3 or an Xbox 360?

Here are five reasons why the PS3 is ultimately the better choice:

1. The PlayStation Network is free. Sure, sometimes the PSN goes down or shut down by hackers, a problem that has made Microsoft better, but Xbox Live Gold costs you $ 50 a year. That's $ 50 more than you pay for playing online games in PSN. As Paul Tassi states, if you pay for Xbox Live, you will not get a discount on Netflix or Hulu or any other app. You only pay twice. Fifty dollars a year is not a bargain, but it's enough to buy one extra game a year. If the Xbox 720 costs the same cost per year as the 360 and the PS4 maintains its free PSN access, the next generation decision is just as easy to make.

2. The PS3 has a Blu-ray drive. If you're like me and my family, most of your media is being streamed nowadays. Especially for animated films like "How to Train the Dragon" and everything else from Pixar, as well as other big screen movies like "The Avengers" or "The Dark Knight", the Blu-ray can make a big difference in both visual appearance and film Make difference sound. This also means that there is more space on the discs for PS3 titles than for Xbox 360 titles, resulting in noticeable graphics improvements in PS3 versions of many games and, more importantly, in having each track on a disc fits. There are few things that are more annoying than swapping an Xb0x 360 disc in the middle of the game.

3. The PS3 has better exclusive titles. Unless you're a big fan of Halo or Gears of War, PlayStation 3 simply offers better Sony exclusive devices than the Xbox 360. I'm not a big, unexplored fan, but if you like Indiana Jones-style cinema games, you cannot much better than the Naughty Dog Adventure franchise. God of War may be a bit thin at this point, but the title of the Action Greek Myth is still a big draw.

4. The PlayStation 3 controller is rechargeable. Never underestimate what really irritating batteries can be. I own Dark Souls on the Xbox 360 and in the middle of a serious boss fight (Smough and Ornstein) my controller died. This was my first attempt on the boss and I summoned an NPC and another player to help me in the battle. Just as we entered and began to fight, my character froze. I pressed the buttons crazy and watched my life go before my eyes and I could not block or roll, run or fight. If this had been a PS3 game, I could theoretically have jumped off the couch, pushed through the living room, hooked up the controller to the console, and saved my life. Since it is the Xbox 360, I have not even tried. I would have had to find the batteries first, if we had any at all. Sure, it was my fault I let the controller die, but there's still room for a rechargeable controller in terms of comfort, especially for lazy, forgotten people like me.

5. The Kinect is not ready for the big leagues. Of course you do not have to buy any Kinect or other motion gimmick hardware, but the Kinect software seems to be too big a psychological plot at Microsoft. There are plenty of new Kinect titles and only a few top notch new Xbox 360 exclusives on the market today. Is Microsoft putting too many eggs in the Kinect basket? If so, it is worrying. For one thing, the Kinect is not nearly what it has popped out. We mostly played demos for the Kinect, but it was a really frustrating experience for us and our five year olds. It keeps dropping players and is as accurate as you can get.

Do not get me wrong - the concept is fantastic and some of the games are fun, especially for kids. I can imagine that a future generation of Kinect can be a good selling point for the Xbox 360/720 / etc. But this time, I'm more worried that Microsoft and Xbox 360 developers are paying too much attention to a device that's only half finished, without neglecting any motion controller games.

Already paid for Sony PlayStation 4? Or are you waiting for a particular blockbuster title before moving on to the next generation? We do not blame you. The ancestor of the PS4 - this slightly curved obelisk that sits under your TV and has half an inch of dust - still has some tricks. While we wait for Sony to perfect its streaming technology, there is still no way to play PS3 titles on console # 4 unless it gets a fancy facelift ... and you buy it again, so we return to our loyal PlayStation 3. Born in 2006, eight years is a pretty good term for a game console. But maybe you do not want your time to be over. We also do not do it and have found a few ways to revitalize your gradually graying PS3.

Actually, this should be in the past: Because you should have come to this surprisingly high-quality service a year ago. PlayStation Plus is really good. For under $ 10 a month (up to $ 5 a month if you sign up for a year) you will be offered an "instant game collection" which will be updated every 30 days. This fee gives you access to all compatible consoles (PS3, Vita and PS4). The library currently includes BioShock Infinite, Payday 2, Uncharted 3, and Castle of Illusion with Mickey Mouse, and eight more PS3 titles. Free games change every month, but if you "buy" it to download it (even if you did not download it right away), you can play it as long as your submarine does - not just when it is part of the game selection. Previous titles (depending on the region) included Super Street Fighter IV, Infamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed III, just to name a few. Yes, more titles than you've probably ever had time for, but the service usually delivers something we actually want to play almost every month. Since the start, a total of 138 PS3 games and a variety of PS1 games are available.

Protip: The "instant game collection" of PS Plus differs from region to region. There are more titles that dominate US and European subscribers, but a Japanese one (Yen-based PlayStation Network has a lot to offer for your sub-boat), the original ridiculous file games of PlayStation (and er, PC Motorea).  Yes do you have free PS3 games (Shadow of the Colossus HD)? Yes / Yes.

Update your PS3 hard drive:

Instead of just deleting new downloads, you should extend the extension. Your shopping list requires a 2.5-inch SATA drive. Many launchers carry about 5,400 rpm to reach the original record of the PS3 and keep the heat too hot. It's not a simple plug-in-and-play. You cannot lower the hard drive, enter a new Slim PS3 and remove it. If you want to protect your current configuration with the security feature of the console, you will need to remove some screws and turn off the drives. A tricky piece is just to think about putting the system update file together with your data backup on the USB stick. Fortunately, SCE has provided the necessary instructions for all three hardware iterations here. Make sure you do it here too. Take care of yourself, but in our opinion the installation itself was deceived.

The numbers are out, and the PlayStation 4 is near the PlayStation 3 when it comes to lifetime revenue. We reach the pinnacle of the PS4 era, with massive releases like Monster Hunter: World and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, which have come to the console in recent months. To be honest, we are drowning in good current gen games, so it's probably time to sell old consoles to buy extra games, send run-down models to the garbage dump, or just leave them untouched and dust collect.

Keep it there, though! Now is not the time to even think about getting rid of your PS3. I would even say that now is the perfect time to buy a PS3 if you've missed this era of gaming. There's still life in the old gal, and besides, it's a very cheap console to collect. I probably play my PlayStation 3 about 60% of the time I play, while 30% use my PlayStation 4 and 10% low-resolution adventure and point-and-click games on my old laptop. And I cannot say I'm still bored. So why should you hurry up and buy a used PS3? And how do you make the PS3 2018 an exciting, useful console if you already have a PS4 in your closet? Let me discuss why I think the PS3 still has legs and what you need to do to fall in love with the console again.

At the moment we are near these collectors, where the PlayStation 3 is very outdated. It's not old enough to appeal to the retro crowd - the PlayStation and even the PlayStation 2 are starting to evolve this way - while those who want to play the latest games have put it aside. In addition, sellers want to get rid of their old PS3 games for something new and want you to take the games away from their hands. And if you do not choose something as rare as a Katamari game, you do not want to spend a lot of money on parts of your collection. Since mid-2016, I often offer 3 euros for a series of PS2 and PS3 games on eBay and see what I win. Very often, PS3 games will not go much beyond that, and through this practice, I've developed a 40-piece PS3 boxing disc collection for the cost of two or three PS4 releases from Day One. It's pretty awful for my backlog, but great for the lazy Saturday mornings, when I can browse my collection at will and randomly pick something to get into my console.

In addition, the PS3 is not so outdated that it is difficult to use. It's a composite cable and HDMI-friendly, which means it works without too much hassle on a TV. This is unlike some retro consoles, where a 4k HDTV requires a lot of gadgets and adapters. In addition, the PS3 games are pretty polished and beautiful at the end of the console lifecycle, so, if you do not have a first-class TV (which I certainly cannot do), the games will be the case and look very good, even though they are "older" games. There are also many games that are only playable with a PS3. So, if you want to access as many games as possible that have been released in the last 12 years, the console is a must.

Get same day repair and replacement service for PS3 Console at reasonable price in UK

The end of the Sony PlayStation 3 game console has been over for some time, and US shipments were discontinued in October 2016. The new Japanese model Sony is still selling the last product of the new PS3 game console. According to a statement released by Sony on Tuesday, the inventory of the last PlayStation 3 game console was sold or stored, and the delivery of the last model was stopped, and the move was configured as a 500GB hard drive. American players have gotten used to it - Amazon's Quick Check shows that only third-party vendors offer PS3 consoles and Best Buy does not have any PS3 consoles at all.

Google's translation of Sony's last Japanese PS3 page was "delivery completed" and Sony was asked to confirm this in a timely manner. The groundbreaking console was released in November 2006, and Sony claims to have a 10-year plan for the system. As a, the PS3 slightly exceeds this mark. Although the PlayStation 3 expires at 160GB, some retailers can still buy it for $ 400. In other words, we strongly recommend that you review the redesigned PlayStation 3 Slim because it offers a 120GB hard drive and a sleeker design.

If you're a fan of PS3 or have been sitting on the fence and waiting for the price to drop to $ 299, the good news is that the 120 GB slim PS3 is almost the same as the functional one Sony's 80 GB and 160 GB hard drives are about to phase out the PS3 model. There is no other change than the ability to install a different operating system (Linux) on the PS3. You can still use a built-in Wi-Fi connection (the Xbox 360 Wi-Fi adapter is a $ 100 accessory) and two USB ports to connect an external storage device and charge the PS3 Bluetooth wireless controller ( a DualShock 3) controller) Slim with the integrated Profile 2.0 Blu-ray player with BD-Live function.

Like its predecessor, Slim also supports the playback of MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 / h-264 video files from USB or CD-based media, as well as the display of JPEG images (the slideshow feature is impressive). Like the Xbox 360, the PS3 acts as a digital media hub that can stream content from any DLNA-compliant network device, including PCs and network-attached hard drives. In addition, you can use the built-in web browser (optional Bluetooth keyboard) that can be repaired, but not as well as any other large browser on the PC.

On the back you will find an Ethernet jack, an HDMI output (no cable included), an optical digital audio output (SPDIF) and the proprietary PlayStation AV output for analog audio and video. A composite AV cable is supplied with the unit, and since it uses the same connector as the PlayStation 2, the S-video and component cables of this system should also work with this unit. , The bad news is that Sony has not added any new features to the Slim. Although we did not think the company would be nice enough to turn on an IR receiver so you can control the PS3 with a standard IR universal remote, Sony has cut off the IR feature again. If you want to make your collection of PS2 games slim, you'll be disappointed that the reverse feature is a thing of the past (the option was only available on some of Sony's previous PS3 systems).

Sony celebrates another milestone as the PlayStation 4 has officially sold the PlayStation 3. Regardless of whether players prefer their games from Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo, the PS4 has a tremendous year in terms of software and hardware. Although the PlayStation 4 has officially reached the end of its lifecycle - and there are rumors that the PlayStation 5 is working behind the scenes - Sony still keeps an impressive number of units every month. This may seem a bit unusual, but it's important to know that Sony had a huge year with the PS4 thanks to the exclusive titles God of War and Spider-Man.

According to Sony, the company's latest financial report confirms that the PlayStation 4 has rounded off the second quarter with sales of 86.1 million. This means that the PS4 has sold another 3.9 million in the last three months and the Next Gen console before the PS3 sales of 83.8 million. On the software side, statistics show that Sony sold 75.1 million units in the second quarter (up 17% from 2017), and subscribers to online services rose to a whopping 34.3 million (up 6, 2 million on 2017). Known for titles like Little Big Planet, God of War II, and Uncharted 2, the PlayStation 3 had some impressive exclusives among thieves in its day. In 2006, the PS3 came on the shelves for the first time and was produced until 2016 in the mainstream production. Until May 2017, they were made in Japan. Despite the withdrawal of the PlayStation 3, to make room for the PlayStation 4 in 2013, she will still like to be remembered in gaming circles.

As far as the PlayStation 4 is concerned, sales are good news as gamers see what's next for Sony and Microsoft. Although recent PS4 sales are likely to change Sony's revenue projections for 2019, the console appears to lag behind some of its predecessors. Looking at the numbers, the PlayStation 4 is still far from beating the 102.49 million units of the original PlayStation and the 155 million units of the PlayStation 2. With the PlayStation 2 being the bestselling gaming console ever, it's hard to beat them from the top.

Already in July, it was reported that the PlayStation 4 sold 80 million units sold, but the new financials have surpassed that. Now the PS4 is the sixth bestselling console of all time - which is by no means so late the game. It remains to be seen how long the PlayStation 4 will remain. But do not forget that the upcoming releases of The Last of Us Part II and Death Stranding will surely sell a few more consoles for anyone who does not have a PlayStation 4 yet.

Sony's latest flagship product is their fastest, with a range of new features and unparalleled cameras; but the design is also a dramatic change. You either like the XPERIA XZ2, or hate it, a stunning camera with 1080p super slow motion and 4K HDR video recording, and a gorgeous HDR screen. State-of-the-art performance and battery life make it a great device for anyone to use: but only if you have an outdated and clumsy design.

Design and specifications:

With a gorgeous 5.7-inch display, we'll discuss it in detail later, and you'll notice that it's not an edge-to-edge design. There are a few millimeters of borders on the left and right sides, and a border of about one centimeter on the top and bottom. There is at least no gap.

With a curved glass back and a metal edge, it weighs only 6.98 ounces (198 grams) and is slightly thick. The back of the glass means you have wireless charging and NFC, which is essential in any phone, and I am even more surprised by its absence, but do not include a wireless charger, so you need to buy it yourself. However, the apparent curve also causes the device to be very unstable on a flat surface. Since the contact area is small, it tends to slide a lot. Considering that the glass tends to pick up the fingerprint, you almost certainly want to make a box on it, preferably a bit of sticky rubber to prevent it from running away so much.

The placement of buttons is also unique. There is a volume rocker, an on / off switch and a special camera shutter, each one from top to bottom along the right side of the frame. As for the dedicated buttons, a camera shutter is generally appreciated. However, I think there is a reason why most manufacturers push all buttons up: This will prevent you from being accidentally pressed when you touch the phone.

Is this a fingerprint sensor or a camera lens?

As you would expect from a flagship, the fingerprint reader is fast and accurate. But the placement of the sensor on the right in the middle of the back panel feels awkward, and I occasionally wondered why it did not work. It did not work because my finger lay on the camera lens instead. It feels the same and is in a place where other phones would normally place their fingerprint sensors - about an inch above it.

Full HD + HDR IPS display:

That's a lot of acronyms. The screen is 5.7 inches wide in 16: 9 formats, perfect for movies. The resolution is Full HD +, that is 2160 x 1080 pixels. The + means "slightly higher than Full HD," which is 1920 x 1080 px or more commonly known as 1080p. You have to wait for the premium model if you want a 4K screen. However, I wonder if you really need such a high resolution on such a small display. On a 60-inch TV, 4K is certainly great. It does not matter on a 5.7-inch mobile screen, and you'll experience a performance hit. The IPS-based TRILUMINOS display provides the ability to view HDR content that includes a wider gamut, resulting in blacker blacks and a richer look (what is HDR?). Both YouTube and Netflix are officially offering HDR encoded content. However, the XPERIA XZ2 also tries to convert other content to HDR (HDR) levels.

Get fix your Sony XPERIA XZ2 Repairing Issues with authentic parts at affordable price in UK

The XPERIA XZ2 feels like the smaller XZ2 Compact (which I love very much) much more modern and inviting than its predecessors Z, X or XZ (oh my, Sony has made many phones in the last few years). Although the gentle curvature of the glass hides a rather powerful frame, but gives the phone organic heat, which I really like to consider. Sony has always emphasized symmetry, sometimes to its detriment, but in a sea of notched and unfinished smartphones, this one is intentionally flat. The 1080p display is extended to a 2: 1 aspect ratio, and although the panel cannot earn loyalty rewards, it achieves the best notes of a flagship, including HDR10 support (under Netflix and Amazon Prime) and a gamut tweaks color picker for each Taste. The screen is limited by light but very current bezel frames, giving Sony the opportunity to enhance its already great S-Force stereo speakers. These speakers are incredible. They are loud and full for a smartphone and do not distort at high volumes. They're just the kind of showcase you expect from a phone that promotes entertainment.

The audio expertise of Sony also extends to the headphones. Although there is no headphone jack, Sony's audio settings are rich and varied, with a range of manual equalizer options (including questionable-quality virtual surround sound options) that make all the difference. While few will understand the differences between DSEE HX and ClearAudio + so one can turn off the other - anyone using a cable or wireless headset can get great audio quality with this phone. That Sony's marketing nonsense emphasizes about actual hardware virtues is that DSEE HX, which converts lower quality music streams to high quality, is less appealing to me than a clean DAC and an ultra-powerful amp, both of which are downside but the good news is that, apart from the headphone jack, this is an audiophile device.

I do not use it all the time, but I tend to keep it on, especially when I hold the phone in my hand to watch a movie trailer or a Netflix show. Sure, it's less effective when combined with an inconspicuous sitcom than with a buoyant sequence of Luke Cage, but I'd rather have the option to turn it off than not have it at all. In recent years, I've become increasingly vulnerable to bad, sloppy mobile phone haptics, and I'm pleased that companies like Sony and LG are pushing the market into Apple-like areas. But just because a vibration motor is powerful does not necessarily mean that it's agile, and thankfully, it offers both light and precise touches when typing or receiving a notification.

Camera history revolves around evolution, just like the design of the phone. The phone no longer has its own processing engine, but instead relies on the outstanding Qualcomm image signal processor in the Snapdragon 845. Sony also makes it easier to take a great shot using its own camera memory and fast processor used to take loads of photos When the shutter-release button is pressed When the motion is detected, the gallery offers a choice of four photos to choose from, and I have usually found at least one good picture, the change works even though there is no slam dunk The manual mode tends to offer a better "car" recording behavior than Sony's sophisticated Superior car, which dominates the subject Identified in a particular scene (backlight, macro, landscape, document, and action) and adapts art decisions mostly, but not every time, especially in scenes with blown out areas for which HDR is required, something that Superior Auto reluctantly applies.

It's not inevitable that the hardware will be surpassed - the 1 / 2.3-inch sensor is larger than any phone camera available on the market except the Huawei P20 Pro, although the Æ’ / 2.0 lens is a somewhat limiting factor and it There is no OIS, but the camera from Sony The app makes bad exposure decisions: The resulting photos are expressive and colorful, but often darker than they must be.

Best and trusted Display repair & Replacement service provider for SONY XPERIA XZ2 in UK

The Sony XPERIA XZ2 Premium is next to the XPERIA XZ3 at the top of the famous Japanese brand for smartphone products, but arrives a little late in the UK. It has been on the market in the US since July, with initial uncertainty regarding a wider rollout. It is not difficult to understand why. This is a niche high-end handset for media consumers. The list of specifications is undoubtedly impressive. Beyond the basic offer of the XPERIA XZ2, you get a razor-sharp 4K display, 50% more RAM and a sophisticated dual-camera setup. All in all, the XZ2 Premium offers an uncompromisingly powerful multimedia package. However, the trade-off between practicality and ease of comfort is considerable.

Sony XPERIA XZ2 Premium - Design:

The first impression is important when you switch to a new smartphone, but the effects are often temporary. Not so with the Sony XPERIA XZ2 Premium. Normally, you get used to the larger size of a larger phone with time and use, but that did not happen to me with the Sony XPERIA XZ2 Premium. I jump when I pick him up off the table or put him in a bag. To be a bit more scientific, it's 11.9mm thick for a second, 80mm wide and weighs a whopping 236g.

Like the normal XZ2, Sony has tried to soften these brick-like dimensions with a curved glass back, which also makes wireless charging easier. In the more velvety form of the XZ2, it marked a significant step in Sony's useful design work. Here, for the most part, the very heavy phone becomes extremely slippery and tends to shake off every time you place it on a less than flat surface. On the back there are more design problems. The positioning of the dual camera module, which is located far down in the device, undoubtedly helps with taking pictures. This is also reflected in the fact that during my time with the XZ2 Premium I did not have a single finger-in-shot moment.

Sony XPERIA XZ2 Premium - Display:

The screen of the Sony XPERIA XZ2 Premium is unusual for several reasons. The 5.8-inch IPS LCD display is one of the few mobile displays available in 4K resolution. With 3840 x 2160 and 765 ppi, this is the pixel-strongest display of all current Big-Hitters. This means it's the only flagship of the year 2018 that can natively render 4K video content.

This is impressive, but more technical or behind the box than in reality. When it comes to daily navigation, surfing the web or even watching videos and intense gaming, it's hard to get all these extra pixels. We got used to the stretched aspect ratio of 18: 9 (or about) as the new standard, even at the lower end of the market. Here, however, Sony has reached the old-fashioned 16: 9.

Sony XPERIA XZ2 Premium - Performance:

If you run a top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 CPU with a staggering 6GB of RAM, you'll expect the Sony XPERIA XZ2 Premium to be fast - although the 4K display is a bit worrisome. As it turns out, there is nothing to worry about. The XZ2 Premium is a flying machine that does any job I can with ease. The general navigation and jumping between apps was non-stop, while the fingerprint sensor was used almost instantly to start the splash screen - if you actually manage to put your finger on it the first time. Jumping directly to the camera app with the physical camera button (a feature we still love) proved similarly snappy. Plus, all the games I played on the XZ2 Premium are pretty fly. Asphalt 9 in high settings is an excellent test for any modern phone and ran flawlessly on the Sony.

Get Sony XPERIA XZ2 Camera Repairing and other Issues service hassle free in UK

In a sense, the XZ3 is not a dramatic improvement, which makes sense given the timeline. The processor and the memory are identical; the rear camera hardware has not changed, and elsewhere is still the influence of a still young flagship handset to see. But in a sense, the improvements are remarkable and impressive, helping to make Sony the best ever mobile phone. After reviewing the XPERIA XZ3, here's how it compares to the XPERIA XZ2.

DESIGN - CURVE APPEAL:

The XPERIA XZ2 was a nice departure from the tired, ultra-boxy aesthetics of yesteryear with a seductive mirror finish and much more curves than before. Well, the XPERIA XZ3 has taken that to another level now. At a glance, the XZ3 (left) looks like the middle ground between the XZ2 and the Samsung Galaxy S9. The front brings curved 3D glass for a more straightforward pop with curved edges on the display. There are still a lot of upper and lower bezels. In the meantime, the background is about the same: In any case, an eye-catcher, but with a cumbersome fingerprint sensor, which is just a little too low down and feels the same with the camera sensor, if you fumble afterwards.

SCREEN - OLED PLEASE:

Sony chose the XPERIA XZ2 with a 5.7-inch 1080p LCD screen, but packaged it in a little trick: not only can it play HDR content, but it can also upgrade standard content to HDR-like performance. However, the XPERIA XZ3 goes one step further by switching from LCD to OLED, booting up to 6 inches and even Quad HD resolution. The large, notch-free panel benefits from the deeper blacks of OLED and improved contrast to give a clear picture, and even from Triluminos and the X-reality image processing technology Sony's TV department has brought. The result is a great screen with a fantastic dynamic range of HDR content, though we would have liked a bit more brightness and color shifts along the curved edges.

Camera - not far away:

There is not much to look for on the back: the XPERIA XZ3 has the same 19-megapixel motion-eye camera on the back. Rumors indicated a dual-camera setup, but no such luck on the actual device. That's a shame, because the camera of the XZ2 cannot compete with the leading packs such as the Huawei P20 Pro, Google Pixel 2 XL or Apple iPhone X. They get pretty good shots with lots of light, but the results may be inconsistent in other settings. The XZ3 is likely to have had a slight image processing boost as we were largely satisfied with the results. There is still a lot of noise when zooming photos, but our everyday snapshots were good. We would not put the XZ3 at the top of the pack, but he is at his best.

PERFORMANCE - STATUS QUO:

In terms of performance, there is no real change in tow: Both the XZ2 and the XZ3 use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip with 4 GB of RAM. It was very fast on the XZ2, and it's similar on the new model. Note that the XPERIA XZ3 comes with Android 9 Pie. However, this can improve daily performance as you add some useful new features to the mix. Hopefully, it will not be long before the XZ2 sees this upgrade.

Avail all kind of repairing service with grade A parts for Sony XPERIA XZ2 in UK

The new design language of Sony has led to controversy (but also some excitement) in the announcement, as this is a clear departure from this old, but popular design. Gone is the old flat sandwich, which is now replaced by a round and round body. Sony claims that this design is smoother and fits better in your hand, and although I'm usually claimed to be by such manufacturers, it's actually an incredibly comfortable phone, though some feel it looks a bit boring.

The biggest aberration of the Sony XPERIA XZ2 - the curved back - reaches its peak directly below the fingerprint sensor (dead center on the back). Above the fingerprint sensor, which is not fully engaged, is the well-known 19 megapixel camera sensor, the laser autofocus module, and the flash. All I can tell is the dedicated white balance sensor. Thanks to its new placement in the middle of the back of the phone, the camera array can no longer easily be disturbed by the fingers when taking pictures. People with long fingers like me have to cope with poorly mounted housings. However, this is offset by the fact that the fingerprint sensor is placed too low and cannot be easily distinguished, resulting in a slightly worse setup than the Galaxy S9. The first day I tried to unlock my phone with the camera a lot, but you quickly get used to the setup and it becomes second nature.

The scanner is a very nice sensor with glass surface, which is great in contrast to the new pill-shaped trend that others are using. Finally, there is both XPERIA and NFC branding on the back, but they do not stand out as a distraction and are indeed an attractive and distinctive branding. The ergonomics of Sony are excellent, and although the phone is very heavy (198 g) and quite large falls between Galaxy S9 and S9 + (despite the smaller 5.7-inch display), it feels like a mixture of old and the new and if you were A fan of the way phones used to feel before they got slim and nervous, you might find comfort in the XPERIA XZ2 design. It's also notable that the back and front are both encased in Gorilla Glass 5, but my back has a pretty bad scratch under the fingerprint scanner despite the advertised scratch resistance on the back.

On the front of the device is the first large-format 18: 9 display from Sony, which is displayed in a diagonal of 5.7 inches. While many other OEMs were aiming for as few bezels as possible, Sony has brought its own flair to the phone with handsome bezels and front speakers, especially for 18: 9 lunettes. At first glance, the lunettes are abominable, but in use they have their own, defined charm. However, they are not symmetrical, which could disturb the other OCD among us. Sony is also one of the last OEMs to still put their branding on the face of the device, but while I use the phone, I barely notice it, as the color does not really stand out over the black phone, as it does Dark is Bright Silver Branding from LG and Samsung phones.

In a Sony premiere, the XPERIA XZ2 and XZ2 compact do without their 16: 9 widescreen screens for a 18: 9 ratio. Unlike the grooved and rounded OLED displays used by many others, Sony's 5.7-inch FHD ("square corner") display keeps the basic equipment upright. Basic, however, is not always a terrible thing, as this is one of my favorite LCD displays, though there seems to be no resolution. As in previous years, Sony has adopted Bravia's triluminous display technology and X-reality engine with premium TVs. This year, they are improving with SDR to HDR conversion. While I found the initial white point on the blue side a bit, Sony offers three different display profiles - a sRGB "Professional" mode, a standard triluminous mode and a super-vibration mode, and a custom white balance slider for all three modes.

Up conversion from SDR to HDR can also be turned on or off, if this is not what you want. I like this approach of Sony user choice, as you can set everything here in all modes, unlike Samsung, which limits the white point setting to the poorly calibrated and supersaturated adaptive mode. The display will be bright, but not extreme like a Samsung panel or the new LG G7, and it's also very reflective, resulting in a viable but worse outdoor experience compared to its flagship competition. It is disappointing that a good and bright display in the Florida sun is essential in the near and is actually only the weaker display. As I mentioned earlier, you will not find any rounded corners on this display and after a few days I can honestly say that I do not miss them. Rounded corners belong to cell phones with notches and rounded bottoms, not to disk devices.

Get quick and hassle free XPERIA Z tablet repair and replacement services in UK

With so few companies launching high-end Android tablets today, it's refreshing to see something like the XPERIA Tablet Z from Sony. The Tablet Z weighs only 1.09 pounds and is 0.27 inches thick and has a 10.1-inch display with 1080p. As Engadget notes, the Toshiba Excite 10 LE is the thinnest and lightest 10 inch tablet in the world. For a good measure, it is also thinner and lighter than Apple's iPad 2 (and the voluminous iPad of the current generation) and slimmer than the iPad Mini. XPERIA Z is an appealing-looking tablet - but this time it's conventionally good and not a continuation of the company's previous attempts to go in its own right. Instead, the company has given the design aesthetic of the XPERIA Z-smartphone a more straightforward black, square design that radiates class.

The Tablet Z is 6.9mm thick - Sony says it's the thinnest 10.1-inch tablet on the market - and weighs just 1.09 lbs. Its waterproof - Sony threw a Z into a small aquarium during my demo for me, without any negative effects. It's the first tablet to use Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor. The camera functions seem to be above average: The rear camera is equipped with 8 megapixels, and the camera app is based on the interface that Sony uses for its standalone digital cameras.

As with XPERIA Tablet S, Z's predecessor, Sony places special emphasis on features that make the new XPERIA feel at home in the living room. The unit has an infrared port that serves as a universal remote, and TV SideView, a new version of Sony's fancy guide to TV broadcasts available via cable, Netflix and other sources. Like most new Sony products, it uses NFC technology to enable the feature called Sony One-Touch: the ability to send music from the tablet to a one-touch speaker by tapping the two devices together.

Sony says the Tablet Z will be available this spring and is priced just like Apple's comparable iPads. Both versions have Micro-SD slots for memory expansion.) This is actually a price increase compared to the XPERIA Tablet S, which started with $ 399 and the Z is in a different class than a tablet with a lower price than one iPad Amazon's 8.9 "Kindle Fire HD, which this company has offered for only $ 249. All in all, this tablet is in line with Sony's overall strategy right now, which is pretty much the same it had in the golden age of Sony: make premium products, just use Sony technologies and try out there to stay from bleeding price bouts.

The biggest challenge for the Tablet Z is the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system. There is still a shortage of top notch Android tablet apps designed for large displays, a notable drawback compared to the embarrassing realms of the iPad. This makes it impossible for the Z to outperform the iPad, no matter how good the hardware is. But it looks like Sony has developed one of the most stylish and sophisticated Android tablets.

Get same day repair and replacement service of XPERIA Z Tablet at reasonable price in UK

Sony has made a name for itself in the world-class smartphone and tablet rooms with inspired designs and impressive performance. The Sony XPERIA Tablet Z ($ 499.99) looks like an extended version of the adorable XPERIA Z smartphone. It's remarkably thin and lightweight, features a sharp display and delivers world-class performance thanks to its fast quad-core processor. In addition, you get a fully waterproof design, an expandable micro-SD memory and a built-in IR transmitter for TV remote control functions. The XPERIA Tablet Z is one of the best Android tablets on the market and is a worthy alternative to top-end tablets.

Design and functions:

The first time I touched an iPad mini, I wondered about its thinness and lightness. I had a similar reaction when I first picked up the ZBest Price tablet on Amazon. At 0.27 inches thick and 1.09 pounds, it's remarkably thin and lightweight for a 10-inch tablet. By comparison, the full-size iPad is 0.37 inches thick and 1.44 pounds, while the grade 10.1 is 0.35 inches thick and 1.31 pounds. The nearly half a pound difference is significant and makes the Tablet Z more comfortable than other 10 inch tablets. Due to its slimness, the tablet feels a bit sensitive. It's well built, but you can feel it bend as you turn at both ends. In addition, I noticed that there was an LCD noise around the edges as I applied pressure along the bezels.

The Tablet Z is also completely waterproof. The flaps cover the 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB port and micro SD card slot around the tablet. At the bottom two corners are speaker grilles, in which your palms are natural, so they can be easily covered. I dipped the Tablet Z into a bucket of water and it was completely untouched, even when it was completely underwater, to play a video. This is a pure Wi-Fi tablet that connects to 802.11b / g / n networks at 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies. Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC are also on board. Sony offers two models, a 16GB for $ 499.99 and a 32GB for $ 599.99, and our 32GB and 64GB SanDisk micro SD cards both worked well.

Performance and Android:

The XPERIA Tablet Z is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM. This is the first tablet we tested with this setup, and it did not disappoint - the Tablet Z burnt our benchmarks. From fast switching between multiple running apps to graphically intense games like Real Racing 3, the Tablet Z has done everything we've planned for. The glide between the boot screens loaded with the widget and the browsing of media-heavy Web sites went smoothly with very little interruption. This is a really fast tablet.

Besides the cosmetic adjustments, there are fortunately some really useful additions. On the home screen you will notice two major differences between the Sony version and the standard Android. The first is a bar at the top, containing four customizable shortcuts, a Google search and voice shortcut, and an app drawer starter. I really like the shortcuts at the top, as they allow me to keep my home screens a bit confusing, while keeping my most important apps always at hand. The second modification is the multi-tasking apps from Sony. These will run in small windows over the current app you are running. These include a browser, a calculator, a notepad, a clip manager, a timer, a recorder and a remote control. You can download other small Sony-compatible apps, from Twitter clients to camera apps. You can also make a small app from any widget. I found the little apps quite useful; although they lag behind the split-screen multitasking that comes with the Galaxy Note 10.1.
