Sony XPERIA E3, the successor of XPERIA E1, which was
released in March 2014, and the Moto G were launched in 2014. Moto G is an
improved version of Motola G 2013 by Motola. Below is a comparative study of
the two smartphones compared to specifications and features that help consumers
choose the right device for their needs.
Display and size:
The Moto G 2014 features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with a
screen resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. On the other hand, the Sony XPERIA E3
has a relatively smaller 4.5-inch IPS display and a resolution of 480 x 854
pixels. The pixel densities of the Motorola and Sony devices are 294 ppi and
218 ppi, respectively.
As far as the exterior of the two devices is concerned, the
Moto G 2014 looks more or less similar to its predecessor, but definitely comes
in a different size and an improved build quality. Motorola uses the same
plastic construction material with the same changeable backplane option as the
Moto G 2013. The thickness and weight of the Moto G 2014 are 0.43 inches and
149 grams, respectively, while the Sony XPERIA E3 is 0.33 inches thick and
weighs 143 g.
Hardware, software and
memory:
Both the Moto G 2014 and the Sony XPERIA E3 will use the same
quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) Cortex-A7 with a clock speed of 1.2GHz and
a memory of 1GB. Although Moto G (2014) runs on Android OS v4.4.4 KitKat (which
can be upgraded to Android L), XPERIA E3 runs on Android v4.4 KitKat OS. Sony
devices come with 4GB of memory, while Motorola mobile devices come in two
versions - -8GB and 16GB of RAM. However, both phones support micro SD cards
that can scale up to 32 GB.
Like Sony, there is no E3 button on the front. All buttons
are touch; they are directly on the display. At the top of the panel is a 300
megapixel lens. In the corner of the XPERIA E3 case is a polycarbonate lining -
almost like the sister Z3. The only difference is that they must suppress the
impact when the device is dropped. The corner does not remove anything, but
plays a purely decorative role. The movement of the keys is short and clear.
By the way, the back cover is detachable. The following are the
ports used to install the micro SD memory card and SIM card in micro SIM
format. At the same time, the user cannot access the battery. If you need to
replace the battery, you must take the device to the service center - or carry
a screwdriver with you.
Camera and battery:
The Sony XPERIA E3 has a 5 megapixel camera, while the Moto G
2014 features an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash backwards. The Sony handset
also has a VGA shooter as a secondary camera unit, while the 2014 Moto G has a
2 MP unit. In addition, the Moto G has a 2070 mAh Li-ion battery (not
removable), while the XPERIA E3's battery is relatively better - a 2330 mAh
Li-Ion battery (non-removable).
