Sony announced in October 2017 two new budget devices, XPERIA
R1 and R1 Plus. The specifications of the two devices are similar, and the only
difference between the two devices is the memory. The Sony XPERIA r1 plus costs
£ 148 in the UK.
Sony XPERIA R1, R1 plus
Specifications:
Sony XPERIA R1 and R1 Plus are standard in Android 7.1 Nougat
available, and the company promises that these devices will be upgraded to
Android 8.0 Oreo. These devices feature a 5.2-inch HD-TFT 2.5D glass display
with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Regarding performance, Sony XPERIA R1 and R1 Plus have a Core
Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 with the ADRENO 505 GPU. Although the XPERIA R1 has 2GB
of RAM and 16GB of RAM, the XPERIA R1 Plus has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of
internal memory. The storage space of both devices can be expanded through a
micro SD card to 128 GB. These devices come in the camera section, equipped
with a 13MP main camera, equipped with Sony EXMOR sensors, LED flash and Hybrid
Predictive auto focus. On the front, the budget device is equipped with an
8-megapixel video camera for self-portraits. The dual SIM devices have a
special slot for micro SD cards that allows you to use a micro SD card with two
SIM cards. Other device connectivity options include 4G Volte, Wi-Fi 802.11b /
g / n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS ports and USB type-C.
Sony is serious about last year's XPERIA R1 / R1 plus Duo
Android 8.0 Oreo. These 5.2-inch smartphones debuted in November 2017. Unlike
other regular / plus smartphones, the Sony XPERIA R1 and XPERIA R1 Plus use the
same screen size and processor, even the same camera settings. The only
difference is that the XPERIA R1 has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory,
while the XPERIA R1 Plus has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Common
features include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 8 MP self-timer, 13 MP
main camera, 2,620 mAh batteries, dual-SIM support and USB Type-C connectivity.
Sony XPERIA announced a new software update on Twitter, but
without details. However, some user ratings on Twitter do not sound good. The
list of Android Oreo bugs for XPERIA R1 / R1 Plus already includes the
inability to send or download videos and photos in most applications like
WhatsApp, but the person who updated the phone also reported that the official
Sony Music App this could not be installed.
Sony is committed to adopting improved cameras on mid-range
devices. There is a new camera interface where you can choose from different
scenes from landscape to portrait and HDR. In addition to the new focus ring
and camera settings, additional filters are added. If you want to edit your
photos faster or add a "wow" factor, you can use the Mono, Sepia, or
Negative filters. The Sony XPERIA R1 will be shown below, but looks more like a
prototype. The design is very similar to the XPERIA R phone released last
month. Let's wait a moment and see the official product announcement.
