XPERIA XA looks better than the more expensive XPERIA X.
While the boring XPERIA X prevails in midfield, the XPERIA XA Spark differs
from most budget phones. It's a marginal ad that really catches the eye. It's

the bottom of the phone market.
It looks good, but it feels very compact too. It can be
easily held with one hand and my thumb can be moved without overstretching on a
5-inch display. With the small number of small phones on the market, the XPERIA
XA immediately appeals to those who do not want a 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch screen.
It's not as portable as the smelly iPhone SE, but it's as close as you can get
to a running Android.
It is also very light, probably because the metal is kept to
a minimum and can only be used on the side. The back is a pretty cheap plastic
that's easily soiled with oily residue and slipping fast, but I do not have any
scratches when I use it. XPERIA XA no longer uses Sony to switch to the Flat
Home button of the XPERIA Z5 series, but uses a metal round switch. It is small
and responsive, but without a fingerprint scanner. Some may say that calling

Below the standby switch is a paste-like volume rocker, which
is not much feedback when pressing under which a physical two-stage camera

Fair to Sony, the monitor is one of the better 720p panels that I use, but it
is far from great. My biggest complaint is the color, which is not what you
normally get from the Sony panel. Even in bright purple, the colors pink, red
and orange in the pre-installed wallpaper will fade and darken.
There is a clear lack of brightness. Normally I keep the
brightness of my phone at about 60% - I'm not a fan of automatic brightness -
but with XPERIA XA I have to hold about 80-90% to be readable in most lighting
conditions. The viewing angle is good, which usually stumbles over cheaper
phones, as well as outside view, but the price I expect is more. Motorola
managed to install the FHD panel on a £ 169 mobile phone, as did Huawei on the
Honor 5X. The 720p is still very good on a 5 inch display, but my eyes can find
a single pixel, which makes the video, especially the picture, look blurry.
