If you're looking for a laptop that looks and feels as good
as the Dell XPS 13 or MacBook Pro 13, Envy 13 is now your best bet, but at a
much lower cost. It's all aluminum and glass, but a few hundred (and hundreds)
as the most ideal models. They have a slight loss of screen brightness and
slimness, but if you pay attention to the money, this compromise feels more
rewarding. There are even separate graphics. While the GeForce MX150 does not
care about the GTX 1050 or the hardcore player, this very useful laptop is
welcome. Here are a few small compromises, such as dimming screens, slightly
curved and slightly exaggerated touchpads, But the value and design are in
stock, and the GeForce MX150 GPU is twice as expensive as many Ultrabooks.
HP Envy 13 (ah0001na) is our most recommended version. It has
a Core i5 8th Gen Intel CPU, 256GB SSD, GeForce MX150 graphics card and 8GB
RAM. Its price is £ 849. The HP Envy 13 is great, especially if you need to use
a full aluminum case on your list. You get a one-year limited warranty, but at
the time of writing, when you buy from the HP Store, you get a free, 3-year, $
99 3-year warranty.
ENVY 13 - Design and
Construction:
Its silver is made of aluminum and is a little more angular
than its competitors. It's not a MacBook clone, though it's a small metal
laptop, in short, it sounds like a MacBook Pro 13. Since last year, HP has made
no significant changes. However, the weight is only slightly reduced at 1.3 kg
and works lighter and thinner without actual thickness change. The underside of
the HP Envy 13 is now tapered at the end, making it look thinner than before,
even if it is not. This is a very respectable 14.9 mm thickness. This laptop is
very portable.
Some parts of the HP Envy 13 design that have not been
changed this year can be improved, but we're glad that HP did not play too much
on the keyboard. It's still a robust, slightly flexible keyboard with a deeper
feedback than some of the newer "super-high" designs. In the first 30
minutes we hope that HP Envy 13 can act a bit clearer. There is also a keyboard
illumination. It's a pretty, aloof blue LED light, and without multi-level
control, you could get twice the price in your laptop. It is also popular by
the body of the key and the limit of the key. Below is the same trackpad as the
Envy 13 of 2017. Its glass is not particularly high, but it is very wide. Its
fluid, click feedback feels good, and there's no problem if you first click on
the float or button area. Only the right quarter to one third is assigned with
the right mouse button to avoid accidental pressing.
There is also a fingerprint scanner next to it. Simply press
and hold your finger to avoid entering the lock screen PIN or password. It
works quite well and is better than other models that detect fingers almost 30%
of the time. However, it does not have the most intuitive ergonomics, so it can
take a week to get used to it.
ENVY 13 Screens:
The main trade off here is to influence the Envy 13 in exactly
the same way. Its screen is not that bright. The maximum power is 281cd / m2.
This is bright enough for the interior, but outside on a sunny day? The HP Envy
13 will have problems, especially because it has a glossy Gorilla glass screen
instead of a dull screen.
Like the last model, Envy 13 covers 78% of the sRGB color
gamut with a contrast ratio of 876: 1. It looks like this laptop is exactly the
same as its predecessor. In most cases this is not a bad thing, color is rich
enough to see a happy movie, although we want to see Envy 13 almost 1000: 1
contrast, but we cannot say that we have noticed that the contrast is not
enough is in a normal room.
ENVY 13 -
Specifications and Performance:
Aside from one or two minor design adjustments, the biggest
change in HP Envy 13 this year is performance. Of course, HP has converted the
7th generation Intel CPU to the 8th generation. This represents a significant
shift as Intel has increased the number of cores in this generation. Our Envy
13 is equipped with an Intel Core i5-8250U CPU with a 1.6 GHz quad and a 3.4
GHz Turbo mode. But if you want, you can jump to Core i7. Unfortunately, Envy
13 has no updated Whiskey Lake CPU, and the 2018 small update is still the same
generation, but the performance difference is still small. Laptops have arrived
in front of these CPUs, so we cannot blame HP for anything.
Very good performance, comparable to more expensive laptops,
With HP Envy 13, you can create sophisticated photos and even edit videos. This
type of job is one of the best reasons to opt for a high-end Envy 13 with more
RAM. However, if this job is your daily job, you should look for something
closer to the desktop replacement laptop. The Envy 13 has a capacity of 256 GB,
which is lower than the last 360 GB. However, the general specification seems
to have improved, the read speed is as high as 2485 MB / s and the write
process is stable (if not significant at the end) 579 MB / s. Envy 13 has a
special move like last year. It has an Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card. You
can see this as an interconnection between the graphics hardware built into the
Micro and Light notebook CPUs and the GeForce GTX 1050 and higher
"Gamer" graphics cards. What can I do?
