Not only do these models feature Intel's eighth-generation
core processors, but they also have HP's fast charging technology, allowing you
to reduce the battery from no-load to 50% in just 45 minutes. The main upgrade
here is that the Pavilion x360s now incorporate Intel's 8th generation Gen Core
processors with optional discrete Nvidia (14-inch) and AMD (15-inch) graphics
cards. Pavilion x360 uses natural silver, light gold and sapphire blue.
Hewlett-Packard has also reduced the margins on the left and
right sides from 12.7 mm to 6.5 mm. On the port side, the x360 laptop has both
a USB Type C port and a dual USB Type A 3.1 port. The new Pavilion laptop also
benefits from a slight aesthetic upgrade, including a geometric speaker grill
and chrome hinges. The pattern on the keypad has changed from a curved pattern
to a vertical line pattern.
The 14-inch x360 costs from 499 euros and comes with a Core
i3 CPU, 8 GB of RAM, a 500 GB hard drive and a 1366 x 768 pixel touch screen.
The $ 729 Core i5 processor model includes 8GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, and 1920 x
1080 pixels touchscreen. The 15-inch model costs $ 759, including the Core
i5-8250U processor, 8GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive and 1920 x 1080 pixels
touchscreen. HP's 14-inch Pavilion x360 notebook is equipped with the Nvidia
MX130 GPU, although the 15-inch model can be purchased with AMD Radeon.
HP also sells 14-inch x360 premium models, including an
all-in-one metal keyboard enclosure and a fingerprint reader on the right side
of the device, near the volume key, so it can be used in all modes. The device
starts at $ 749 and the keyboard deck has an optional World Camera for tablet
mode.
PAVILION 14 and
PAVILION 15:
By adding an hourglass-shaped design to the front edge, HP
makes the lid and deck taper inward, making the Pavilion Series easier to open
and your fingers easy to open. This not only makes it easier to open the machine,
but the new hinge design improves the keypad for a better writing angle, and
some HP Envy notebooks have already done so.
The Pavilion has the Gen Core i processor of the 8th
generation and the 15-inch AMD Ryzen processor. The Intel Optane memory offers
additional performance and you can choose to upgrade to discrete Nvidia or AMD
graphics cards. Hewlett-Packard claims the exhibit hall will have a useful life
of 11.75 hours after a single charge. The Pavilion is available in six colors,
including mineral silver, light gold, sapphire blue, velvet burgundy, serenity
pink and ceramic white. HP uses advanced plating techniques to achieve a matte
finish with a metallic look that makes these colors look great.
The Pavilion's 14-inch Core i5 model costs $ 629 and comes
with 8GB of memory, a 1TB hard drive, and a 1366x768-pixel touch screen. The $
699 14-inch Pavilion upgrades you to a 256GB SSD and 1920 x 1080 pixel screens.
The 15-inch model costs $ 739 and comes with a Core i5-8250U CPU, 8GB of RAM
and a 1TB hard drive. The 14-inch model starts at $ 499 and will be available
on May 9th at HP and a month after Best Buy. The 15-inch model starts at $ 579
and will be available on the HP website and other merchants from May 9. The
convertible is installed with Windows 10 Case Creators Update and the monitor
supports pen and touch with Windows Ink.
