Sony
has settled on the VAIO, so the new product launches the best laptops on the
market, but it is not impressive. However, the company has never given up on
the notebook market and will now be releasing two laptops with good hardware.
Upcoming notebooks will be called VAIO S11 and S13, which, to be precise, will
be a very compact superbook even with the mainstream specifications. Both
models weigh only 0.7 inches and weigh 1.9 pounds and 2.4 pounds.
As
the name implies, the VAIO S11 features an 11.6-inch display and the S13
features a larger 13.3-inch display. Intel Core i5 8250U and Intel Core i7
8550U: You can purchase a variety of laptops to choose from with two Intel 8th
Generation processors. Unlike the previous year, this processor is made up of
four physical cores and eight threads, although it is not part of the HQ
series. Up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of memory can be purchased.
Surprisingly, we will not talk about hard drives, but SSDs.
The
battery in the VAIO S11 can provide up to 15 hours of battery life, while the
S13 can last up to 12 hours in a single charge. The connection includes three
USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI port, one SD card reader and 4G LTE (optional). They
are one of the most impressive Ultrabooks in 2018, but do not offer dedicated graphics
cards. But they are expensive. They will be able to make reservations this
month starting at $ 1,365. We do not have information about availability in the
global market.
The
new VAIO S11 is a notebook with an 11.6-inch 1920x1080 pixel display that
supports the highest processor i7-7500U core, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB
of solid state. At the same time, the new 15.6-inch VAIO models include Core
i3-7100H, Core i5-73300HQ and Core i7-7700HQ processor options. These products
are quadruple 45-watt chips, not double-layer 15-watt processors that are used
in small models. The VAIO S15 comes with an optical drive that supports up to
full HD display, up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of hybrid hard disk / SSD
storage.
The
13.3-inch notebook is about 2.3 pounds taller and about 0.7 inches thicker (the
driest point) with the quad core Intel Core core "Kaby Lake Refresh"
processor. Other features include a 1920x1080 pixel display, three USB 3.0
ports, HDMI and VGA connectors, headphone jack, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1,
SD card reader, backlit keyboard, and battery that VAIO thinks it should fit
around 8 , 5 hours the run time (so it is expected to be a little less in
actual use). Below the keyboard there is a fingerprint reader.
The
input level model comes with Intel Core i5-8250U processor, 8GB LPDDR3-1866
RAM, and 256GB PCIe SSD. But you can pay more for more powerful specifications.
Here are some configurations available at the time of publishing:
*
Core i5 / 8GB / 256GB, now $ 1199
*
Core i7 / 8GB / 512GB, now $ 1599
*
Core i7 / 16GB / 512GB, now $ 1899
*
Core i7 / 16GB / 1TB for $ 2199
Although
you can find cheap notebooks with similar specifications, VAIO usually uses
high quality materials to make advanced devices. The new VAIO S13 has a
magnesium alloy body with a wrist that slightly moves the keyboard when the
notebook is switched on. This is also one of the weakest laptops I know, with
full VGA and Ethernet ports.
