Chrome OS works on laptops, desktops, convertibles, and
all-in-one devices, but it does not run on tablets today. This is different
from the first Acer Chromebook tab 10 tablets on which Chrome OS is installed.
Acer's Chromebook Tab 10 is ideal for iPad competition. Apple is particularly
attractive when it announced the launch of a new low-cost model the day before.
Tab 10 has a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 screen, such as front and
rear camera iPods, 9 hours of estimated battery time, OP1 processor, 4GB RAM,
32GB storage, and USB-C connectors. Also microSD card slot and headset jack.
However, it should be emphasized that Tab 10 also supports the pen. Like the
Samsung Galaxy Note series, Tab 10 also has a small engraved stylus. It is a
Wacom pencil that does not require a battery or extra charge.
Tablets are priced at $ 329, the same as Apple's current
entry-level iPad. Apple will sell the iPad for $ 259 tomorrow, but if it needs
a stylus, Apple is selling for $ 99. You also have to charge and save
separately. Acer plans to sell Tab 10 to the public, but it targets equipment
in the education market (that is, Apple's iPad is announced tomorrow). It is no
coincidence that the tablet was announced today. Acer and Google are already
trying to grab Apple's own tablets to support Chrome OS's position in the
leading markets.
Tab 10 has several advantages for the product Apple will
release tomorrow. With a stylus that is expensive but not built-in, you can use
it more easily than the iPad, save it, or provide options. (If you do not have
a keyboard on your tablet, you can do both things and let the school choose a
traditional laptop.) You can also run Android apps on Tab 10.
Schools may be accustomed to using Chrome OS. Our operating
system currently monopolizes classroom computer sales with low cost and
extensive cloud maintenance tools. Tab 10 costs $ 329 more than other
Chromebooks and is typically less than $ 300. But if you're looking for
something like an iPad in school, Acer gave them a choice.
Outside the box, Acer has released a super simple Chrome OS
tablet that checks all the important boxes. This 10-inch tablet is slightly
thicker than the iPad, but not as thick as the surface. The textured back of
the tablet and a healthy bezel are perfect for one hand use. The power and
volume lockers are located on the upper left, so they are not on the road, and
the USB-C port is on the bottom, so you can use it to connect the keyboard.
Actually the upper headphone jacks are both easy to use at the same time as
expected.
The 10-inch IPS 2048x1536 display is suitable for use
anywhere. You can place it on the counter. Strangely, there is no problem on
the screen. It is bright enough and dark enough for most places to use. Bright
reflections are not a big deal, and the touch interface is the perfect answer.
As cheap tablets are developed by Acer When you enter the browser, it feels
like you are using the entire PC. It feels like you are using an Android tablet
when playing games. The battery life of the tablet is amazing, thanks to the
general battery consumption of the Rockchip CPU and Chrome OS. Thanks to the
10-inch iPad Pro, you can surf and write for 8 hours a day, as well as play
games at times. This Chromebook tablet was able to work for the same two days.
I could not go any further because I connected my Bluetooth keyboard at night
and died in the morning.
