Blizzard has
confirmed that it will take Diablo 3 to the Nintendo Switch. This news was
shared this week by the press with a ban that was broken by a branch. According
to the vulnerability, this complete port includes all extensions to date, as
well as several unique awards for Switch, with the release date
"provisionally scheduled for this fall," according to senior producer
Pete Stilwell. Diablo 3 for Switch will be a door to the recently released
Eternal Collector edition, including the rise of Soul Reaper and Necromancer.
It has all the features of the existing console version and is very similar to
the features of the PC version of the game, even if they play a slightly
different way.
By
convention, the Switch owner also has some extra services for Nintendo fans -
in this case, the Zelda legend. There is a set of cosmetic "illusion"
armor that mimics the villain of Zelda Ganondorf, a puppy of cucco (chicken), a
frame for Triforce portraits and a set of wings that let your character wear.
More
importantly, the Switch version of Diablo 3 will allow players to enter the
adventure mode for the first time without having to complete the campaign game
first. The adventure mode is a free form, fast and extremely played, focused on
a mission of bounty speed, introduced in the Soul Reaper. Many players like the
repeated campaigns in the game, and Stilwell said Blizzard wants many people to
buy games on Switch and become experienced Diablo 3 players who prefer to skip
the storyline: it's a reasonable bet.
Like other
versions of the console, the game will support up to four players and play
local online games on one console and also allow up to four wireless connection
switches. It can be played on one Joy-with, as well as on two Joy-cons and Pro
controllers. For the mobile version, it fully supports offline games, except
for the Diablo 3 season. The seasons allow players a fresh start, additional
goals and awards, and a competitive edge on the level. Seasonal signs can only
be played online.
Online games
will be available with Nintendo's new paid service, which will be launched next
month. Blizzard found that after the Switch has an Internet connection, the
Cloud Backup System will automatically back up the offline status of the
background without launching the game or any other manual process.
However, you
cannot transfer progress from an existing computer or game console. When Diablo
3 moves from the latest generation to the modern console, Blizzard can use its
Battle.net service for port files from one platform to another - you can even
(like me) save from Xbox 360 Transfer for PlayStation 4. Stilwell found that
Diablo 3 on the switch will be "fully" displayed at 60 frames per
second, running at 720p in manual mode and 960p in dock mode. In addition to
the resolution, "you should not notice any differences between docks and
hand games".
This is the
first time Blizzard has appeared on the Nintendo platform in 15 years. He
recently released some of the classic games at Game Boy Advance before
StarCraft was set up on Nintendo 64. In a conference call with media, Stilwell
said it was exciting to re-establish the relationship. He named him
"spirit of a similar opinion" with the company. "This is great,
and it's not just a verbal service, and Nintendo is the first development
program because Blizzard is to talk about what our partner is going to be, we
need a big fight with collaborators with other developers. There is a great
future between Blizzard and Nintendo. "
